About

Born and raised in Columbia, Maryland, Kris Marrion is one of four children. When his father passed away at age eleven, his mother raised the family with resilience and strength—an experience that deeply shaped his character and work ethic. As a young leader, Kris earned the rank of Eagle Scout and participated in basketball and lacrosse, developing the discipline and teamwork that continue to guide him today. After building a successful career in North Carolina, Kris returned to Maryland to serve the community where his family lives. Beyond his professional role at Erie Insurance, he is actively involved in civic leadership and volunteer efforts throughout the region. He partners with the Howard County Police Foundation to teach new drivers roadway safety through the Collision Avoidance Training (CAT) program. He supports families through his involvement with Gilchrist Hospice and volunteers annually with Rebuilding Baltimore to assist homeowners in need. Kris also serves residents through food distribution efforts at the Rainbow Community Center in Silver Spring. In addition, he supports the University of Baltimore’s Insurance and Risk Management Program and remains active in youth sports, coaching and volunteering in leagues where his two children participate. For Kris, leadership extends beyond business. It is about strengthening community, supporting families, and giving back to the places that shaped him.
